Solid Acoustic Movable Walls
The light-colored, wood-grained panels complement the khaki carpet with reddish-brown accents, creating a harmonious overall color scheme. "The panels were installed after the hotel renovations were completed, so we referenced the hotel's existing decor during the design process. We hoped the final result would blend seamlessly into the hotel, rather than appearing as a prominent feature," said Manager Lin, Team Leader of the Daitachi Design Team.
"Considering the hotel's high traffic volume, we needed to ensure that both sides of the wall system would not interfere with each other after installation, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests," said Ms. Li, the hotel's Front Office Manager. To address this requirement, we designed the panels with multiple layers of high-quality soundproofing material inside. This material not only effectively insulates sound but also provides a degree of thermal insulation. While achieving a sound insulation rating of 45 decibels, it also reduces heat dissipation, ensuring a stable temperature in the dining area.
"Since the hotel is operating normally, we wanted the panels to be operational immediately after installation, so we had high requirements for their safety." To address environmental concerns, the design team used high-quality HPL as the base material and a magnesium-aluminum alloy frame. This not only ensures system safety but also eliminates formaldehyde concerns, allowing for immediate installation and use.
Solid soundproof movable walls offer flexible operation, allowing for flexible space division. The panels feature a built-in telescopic mechanism that moves the rubber strips up and down, securing them securely between the ceiling and floor, preventing them from shaking or tilting, ensuring safe movement. "After training, our staff will perform panel assembly and disassembly to ensure the stability of the wall system," said Tan, the hotel's project manager.
