For this project, we worked with a Shanghai hotel and learned that they were struggling with limited space and wanted to use Movable Partition Walls to divide the space. Hotel Manager Zhang explained, "We've always used this large venue for weddings, large-scale team-building events, banquets, and other events. However, large-scale events are relatively rare, with small and medium-sized ones being more common. Therefore, we wanted to use Movable Partition Walls to divide the venue and improve space utilization."
Our team immediately began design work, conducting precise measurements on site. Based on the hotel's actual visitor flow and event sizes, we divided the space into three flexible event spaces. We also designed door-within-doors within the wall system to facilitate access. Hotel staff have expressed high satisfaction with this design.
We chose a classic, elegant vermilion color for the panels, complementing the hotel's existing matching carpet and luxurious ceiling lights to create an overall comfortable atmosphere. Hotel Manager Zhang said, "This color perfectly complements our hotel's design and can accommodate banquets of various styles."
We used ceiling tracks, allowing the panels to slide freely along the track and be combined to suit the specific occasion. Each panel is supported by two silent universal wheels, making it easy for even women to push. Hotel staff members learned how to operate it after simple training. Using the provided tool, they stir the sides of the panels, and the upper and lower rubber strips automatically extend, pressing against the ceiling and resting against the floor, enhancing the wall's stability and soundproofing.
Considering the potential for noise leakage and interference if banquets were held simultaneously in the three spaces, we incorporated multiple layers of soundproofing material within the panels to enhance soundproofing. Testing has shown a sound insulation rating of 45 dB, ensuring that normal conversation within the space is not affected. The panels not only block sound transmission but also absorb it, creating a double barrier to sound transmission.
After the project was completed, Manager Zhang gave us excellent feedback. He excitedly stated, "After using it for a while, our business has doubled, and we've received praise from customers for our wall system. It's been a very pleasant collaboration."
